Printmaking

cover.png

Billy is an art tutor who teaches preschoolers and kindergarten pupils. He collected the waste (such as cardboard, foam sheet) produced during lessons and used it to make the printmaking stamps for this series. These materials are not designed to be used in printmaking but the end result is very satisfying.

Just like the usual printmaking method, it allows us to produce artworks in different versions based on the same framework. Each piece shown below were coloured by hand onto the stamp and thus you can still see the strokes and colour blending clearly after the prints were made. To make them more lively, eyes, gills and other details were drawn by hand.

This project was used in our calendar published in 2018, and we think it would be nice to share with you some of the works used inside. Please enjoy the artworks as well as the difference between each variation :)
